"Mental health problems don't define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but, importantly,

YOU ARE NOT THE RAIN."

Meet your counselor and owner of Kaizen Mental Health

Bryan Haak, LCMHC

Hello, and congratulations on taking the first step toward healing and mental growth!

My name is Bryan Haak, and I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) and the founder of Kaizen Mental Health. At Kaizen, I believe in the power of small, steady steps—because real, lasting change happens over time. My goal is to provide a supportive and practical space where you can work through life’s challenges, whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, substance use, or trauma-related struggles.

I take a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused approach, which means we’ll work together to identify patterns, build coping strategies, and create meaningful change—at a pace that feels right for you. More than anything, I want you to feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Wherever you are on your journey, I’m here to help. At Kaizen Mental Health, we don’t just talk about change—we build it, one step at a time.

Treatments

In my daily practice I employ various methods of treatments that are all tailored to you and your needs. Most often, I use:

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you take control of your thoughts and emotions by changing unhelpful patterns. Together, we’ll identify negative thinking, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping skills to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or stress, CBT empowers you to create positive, lasting change.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Solution-Focused Therapy helps you move forward by focusing on your strengths and the possibilities ahead, rather than dwelling on problems. Together, we’ll identify what’s working, set clear goals, and build practical steps to create positive change. No matter what you’re facing, this approach empowers you to find solutions and take meaningful action.
